The Wrangler shared its instrument panel with the now-discontinued XJ Cherokee so it also contained the full-time 4x4 indicator used (only) by the Cherokee. So that full-time 4x4 indicator is not used in the Wrangler, only the Cherokee. Part-time is the more aggressive form of 4x4 when compared to the street oriented full-time type of 4x4 system.

You get the same features as listed above with the Rubicon 4xe. You also get the 4:1 Rock-Trac heavy-duty full-time 4WD system. With the Wrangler 4xe, you get a 2.0 turbocharged four-cylinder engine that is paired with a transmission-mounted electric motor and an eTorque starter-generator. It has a combined output of 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque.
Jeep Grand Cherokee is full time 4WD. While there is some slight shifting of bias when you choose different selections with the SelectTrac knob on vehicles with QT-II or QD-II, the only mode that gets very far from a 50/50 split is Sport Mode which is biased more to the rear.
Full-Time 4WD operates by default in four-wheel drive and can travel safely and securely on all surfaces. The system uses either a clutch or a center differential to allow the front and rear wheels to turn at varying speeds.
